Marvel in an upcoming spinoff issue called Fallen Friend: The Death of Ms. Should we expect Kamala's comic book death to be short-lived? It is worth remembering that ASM writer Zeb Wells is also a writer on The Marvels. It's certainly surprising to learn that Marvel intends to kill off one of its most popular teen heroes, especially considering that Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan will be making her big screen debut in The Marvels this November. Kamala has become a supporting character in the pages of The Amazing Spider-Man in recent months, working as an intern as Oscorp in order to keep a watchful eye over the supposedly reformed Norman Osborn. ![]() We don't yet know the exact circumstances behind Kamala Khan's death, only that she apparently makes a heroic sacrifice in this issue that leaves Spidey reeling. But as it turns out, Mary Jane isn't the one who dies. It makes sense, given the recent tensions between Peter and MJ and the parallels between this issue and Gwen Stacy's death in 1973's The Amazing Spider-Man #125. ![]() Many Spider-fans have probably been assuming Mary Jane Watson is the character being killed off in issue #26. ![]()
